ALL BLACK ON DAY OF THE DEAD: SANTIAGO DE QUERETARO, MEXICO

Spent a lovely weekend exploring Santiago de Queretaro, Mexico on Halloween weekend (aka Halloweekend!) and Dia de los Muertos… As an homage to this sacred holiday, I decided to forego my traditional wacky Halloween costumes (ahem – GMAIL circa 2009!) and get somber in all black. This actually worked out pretty well because no outfit I could’ve chosen would’ve dared compete with the beautiful, colorful backdrop of this colonial Spanish city with its brightly painted buildings and delightful residents! I wish I had more time to explore outside the Centro Historico, but that just means I’ll have to plan another trip to visit the wonderful friends who hosted us for my hubs’ DJ set!
