Exploring the beautiful, colorful and peaceful city of Santiago de Queretaro, Mexico over Halloween weekend (Dia de los Muertos) 2015… And instantly falling in love with its cobblestone streets, Spanish style architecture and warm friendly people! We stayed at this beautiful, Moroccan style villa right in the heart of the historic center (see my previous post on All Black Halloween style). Even though none of the colors in my dress could come close to competing with the rainbow hues of this charming city, I still love falling into autumn style with some color before I wither away into my winter greys!
This long-sleeve silk sheer maxi dress by LA based Of Two Minds is the perfect example of how to transition into fall! The long-sleeves and silk fabric provide that extra little bit of warmth (which can make all the difference in the world on a windy day!) but the sheer, light-weight drape of the dress makes it easy to wear in warmer weather too. On a mild autumn day, I love wearing long-sleeved maxis on their own or paired with a sleeveless vest as much as I love my staple uniform of a sleeveless maxi paired with a leather jacket (as seen here)! If it’s a chilly day or you really want to evoke feelings of fall, add a warm texture like a felt fedora or a faux fur vest!
